Our 3 day MATS Basic Tower Climbing And Rescue course is aimed at those who need the skill set to safely climb masts and towers, such as individuals within the telecommunications and broadcast industry.

This course was created in collaboration with Energy & Utility Skills and the industry “Mast and Tower Safety Group”. Its aim is to provide enough practical skills and knowledge that candidates can work at height safely.
as well as rescue an incapacitated climber.

A prerequisite for this course is an in date and valid medical certificate.

On completion you will be:
✔️ Registered within the Energy & Utility Skills system.

✔️ Receive your EUS ID card.

About the Scheme
The Mast and Tower Safety (MATS): Basic Tower Climbing & Rescue scheme is a skills-based scheme designed to support the safety of those individuals who work on towers and masts in the telecommunications and broadcast industry.
It provides a framework to support consistency and relevance in training provision and assessment of competence.
