Work Restraint and Rescue for leading Edge Access

Course duration: 1 Day

Audience: Anyone who by virtue of their work is required to work at height near to unprotected / leading edges.

Course aim: To Provide enough practical experience and education to allow delegates to operate safely and efficiently on Site.

Course content:

AM (Classroom)

Legislation when working at height

Personal Protective Equipment – inspection & use

Work restraint Vs Fall Arrest

Risk assessment and work at height hazards

Emergency procedures

PM (Practical)

Practical training using restraint equipment to access work areas

Emergency procedures should someone become suspended from the equipment.

Pre-training requirements: Medical Questionnaire

Maximum Instructor to student ratio: 1 : 6

Period of valid certification: The certificate is valid for a maximum of three years.

Throughout the course, the student will be continually assessed and expected to complete a written and practical examination.

Only on successful completion of the whole course and examination will the candidate be issued with a Certificate of Competence.
